Device Manager - Windows 95/98

Select Device Manager from the tabs at the top (see screenshot). Next, click the "+" sign to the left of Network adapters. This will open up and become a "-" sign. Your NIC will be listed here. If there is a yellow exclamation mark by the NIC you have a problem and it would be best to remove the card and reinstall, making sure you have the correct drivers. If no exclamation mark is seen, as shown in screenshot, the card is working correctly.
