This will be the first window you see when you first select Preferences from the menu in the last screenshot. To configure mail and news, click the "+" sign to the left of Mail & Groups. This will open the directory to all the options for configuring your mail and news. At times, you will also need to empty your cache. The Cache contains temporary files that your computer retains from browsing on the Internet. If it gets too full it can slow your computer and at times a file in the Cache may get corrupted causing problems. So, from time to time, come here and empty your Cache. To see how that is done, click the "+" sign to the left of Advanced.
