If you want to install completely, just scroll down through all of this using the up and down arrow keys or click on the scroll bar with the mouse. Also, you can go to a certain section of this using the menu below.

After the download, double click on the file and the first screen below appears. click on Setup.

Then the next screen appears as below.

Then the welcome screen comes, select Continue Installation.

Normally, you will select No Netware Support.

I included Netware Support for the rare occasion that someone wants it. Go to the next screen.

Select where you want to put it on your drive.

More than likely, you will select US English here.

Now, tell it to install Pegasus Mail.

You will see the screen below when it's finshed.

You should see this window below for this part. Double click on Pegasus Mail For Win32 to begin.

And we get a selection of the setups that we want. I selected mail for muliple addresses. If there's only one address, then select that.

It's best to use what Pegasus has selected here.

Then enter the first username and their Personal Name.

Skip this screen if only one user. Enter info, if more than one.

And all users of Pegasus appear.

If they tried to skip this part, the message below appears and they can't go on until they have filled it out.

Here, put in the Admisitrative user name.

Read the message below. More than likely this will not happen but if it does, you will be prepared.

We want to use the winsock.dll that's in the Windows folder. Click OK.

Here is where we put the configuration settings. Do them as below.

This is the Advanced part of the screen above. I'd leave it as it is.

That's all. From here, they will have to use it to learn all the 'bells and whistles'. I have included a few more shots below to inform you of the more basic things of this.

Example 1 is where to click to send a new message.

Here's where their address book is.

If there's a need to save a message to disk, do it here.

To get a message from a drive, select this.

To print the current window, select as below.

To send all mail that has been written but not yet sent.

To check your mail, select as below.

To send all queued mail, select as below.

If you want to check their settings, go to File and Network Configuration.

Then, as below, check their settings and correct if necessary.

If you get an error 550 relaying denied.

There's a simple fix that should clear this up.

1. Bring up Pegasus mail.
2. Click on TOOLS
3. Click on options
4. In options, on the left side under categories, click on Network Configuration
5. On the right side under properties , click on the Advanced configuration options button.
6. The mail configuration window will come up.
7. In the outgoing mail section,
      A. the From field needs to have a gte.net address
      B. the ( use this "from" field to form the SMTP envelope) needs to have a check in front of it.
