This pertains to Win3.X
1. See how much memory they have. Do a "mem" from DOS. If they have under 8 megs, they need more memory. The "largest executable program size" should not be lower than 590K. If so, they need to use "MemMaker".
2. In DOS, type "set", find "Temp=". Delete all the "tmp" files that are in that path from "File Manager".
3. Delete the cache in Netscape.
4. Try setting the video to "VGA" mode.
5. Set "swap file" to permanent. If it's a compressed drive you won't be able to. The swap file should be 8 to 14 MB.
6. Make sure DOS loads in high memory.
7. Check "load=" and "run=" in Win.ini file. Put semicolon ( ; ) in front of these to disable them while you check.
8. Are they loading drivers? (mouse, CD, etc.)
